Music tuition

Music Theory, GCSE, A-Level & Composition Tuition

Specialist one-to-one support is available for students who need help with the theoretical, academic or creative aspects of music — alongside, or independently of, piano lessons.

Academic integrity

Composition tuition helps the student develop their own work and musical understanding. I do not write or complete assessed GCSE, A-Level or other coursework for students; support is given through teaching, discussion and constructive feedback on the student's own ideas.

ABRSM

ABRSM practical and theory preparation

Preparation is available for ABRSM practical piano examinations and for ABRSM music theory, including Grade 5 theory where a student needs it for further practical grades.

Work covers the requirements of the grade — pieces, scales and arpeggios, sight reading and aural, or the written theory paper — alongside the musicianship that sits behind them. Examinations remain entirely optional.
